The 2022 J.League Sharen! Awards, which recognizes activities from all 58 J.League clubs that they would particularly like to share with society, were held online on Tuesday, May 10th, and Matsumoto Yamaga FC's (Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture) Sharen! activity, "Providing sanitary products in stadium toilets and promoting understanding of menstruation," won the Public Award.

This is the third time the J.League Sharen! Awards have been held, following last year, and this is Matsumoto Yamaga FC's first time receiving the award.

This initiative was implemented in October last year, with Red Box Japan providing sanitary products and holding a training session for Matsumoto Yamaga FC Ladies U-15 called "Learn about the Future of Femcare!"

During the training, we spoke about menstruation from various perspectives, including "How to properly select and use sanitary products," "Environmental issues caused by sanitary products," "Menstruation and Oriental medicine," and "International topics related to menstruation."

The award ceremony was held at Matsumoto Yamaga FC's home game on May 29th, and Red Box Japan was presented with a letter of appreciation from the J.League.

By donating sanitary products to the stadium, we hope to provide an environment where athletes and supporters can enjoy sports with peace of mind, as well as to strengthen understanding of menstruation and support systems throughout the community.
