We donated Red Boxes to Yokohama Municipal Eda Elementary School

We donated Red Boxes (sanitary products) to Yokohama Municipal Eda Elementary School. This donation was made possible after we received an inquiry from the school's PTA president.

Following a discussion about disaster preparedness, Eda Elementary School began installing sanitary products in the girls' restrooms (three Japanese-style and one Western-style restroom on the 3rd and 4th grade and 5th and 6th grade floors) in November last year at the suggestion of the PTA. The issue had been raised regarding the embarrassment of bringing sanitary napkins and the inconvenience of the environment in which they were used, forcing students to endure the pain.

The PTA has expressed their opinion that "it has become easier to talk about, and the hurdle to using sanitary napkins has been lowered," and "The low level of sanitary napkin waste shows the children's patience," and the necessity of the program has been recognized once again.

Initially, the PTA temporarily covered the costs of installation, but in order to make this an ongoing effort, they contacted Red Box Japan, which led to this donation.
This initiative is expected to help children feel safe and promote sex education.

The town news featured this donation initiative.
